Monday's board update. Last month, 10,000 people signed up. Six thousand never finished setup. Forty paid. In the same month, paying accounts worth $18k a month lapsed when their cards failed, and nobody followed up. The growth chart looks great. The revenue chart doesn't.

Picture a venture-backed software company with a free plan and a paid team plan. Its product recorded who stalled in setup, which free teams were ready to buy and whose card had just failed. None of that reached a person in time. Six in ten sign-ups never finished setup, and every user got the same email series. Nobody in sales saw when a big company's team was ready to buy. Finance found failed cards at month end. The company lost $18k a month to them and churned 4% a month.

What SBK rebuilt

SBK mapped the path from sign-up to paying team. Most of the money was lost in the handoffs, between what the product knew and the people who could act on it. The rebuild sends each signal to the person who should act. Users who stall in setup get guided help, and the team fixes the steps where they stall. Nudges follow what each user actually does. Accounts ready for a team plan go to sales the same week. Failed cards are retried the same day, and finance calls the biggest accounts. Usage signals tell the success team which teams are ready to add seats.

What moved

Seven in ten sign-ups finished setup, up from four. Paid conversion tripled, from 0.4% of sign-ups to 1.2%. Losses to failed cards fell from $18k a month to $3k. Monthly churn dropped from 4% to 2.5%. The same marketing spend produced three times the new revenue.
